Some people are worried about installing an alarm system if they have pets that have access to indoor areas when no one is home.
However, there are product options specifically designed for this so that you can still have your pet inside and your home can still be secure.

Monitoring Options:
Back to Base Monitoring:
The service provided by a monitoring company in the event that your alarm is triggered. They will either contact you and/or your emergency contact, send out a patrol to your premises or both if required.
Self Monitoring:
You have the option to bypass the monitoring company and have your alarm panel notify you directly via:
- Smart Phone App (My Alarm ifob control app – Bosch Solution 6000 only) If an internet connection is available. This app also lets you remotely arm/disarm the system and has a duress function as well. We can also set it up to open and close garage roller doors, or depending on your home an electric strike can be added to unlock your front door (really handy if you lock yourself out or want to let someone in while you are away)
- There are NO ONGOING FEES for domestic systems.
- Landline: If available or with a GSM module the alarm system can be set up to call your mobile device when triggered
- Some brands and models have other options
Self monitoring is becoming an increasingly popular option as it allows for greater control (especially if you choose to have the ifob control app) with no ongoing fees its both economical, and since the majority of people carry a smart device it is also a practical option as well.

Maintaining your system:
- To reduce the incidence of false alarms ensure that all detectors are clean and free from dust and spiderwebs. A touch of surface spray arounf the detector (not on it) can deter insects and spiders
- We also suggest an annual check up (routine maintenance) for your system to ensure that the back up battery and all other components are in good working order. Nothing worse that something going wrong, especially when you are on holiday.
- If you have any wireless equipment make sure you keep a record of when the batteries have been replaced
